Due to the large number of visitors to this particular page, we have asked Ian to provide more information on his linocut techniques. Firstly, the Printmaking Summay briefly explains the process used to create the artwork seen on this website and is for general information.

Secondly, the Printmaking Tutorial takes you throuth the process of creating a linocut in much more detail. This may be of use to art students wishing to try out or improve the technique.

Thirdly,Ian is opening his studio once a month for printmaking workshops to suit all levels beginning in May through to August 2009. The method and techniques needed to create a coloured reduction linocut are covered. Follow the link for available dates and prices.

Fourthly, Japanese prints have been very influential in Ians work, here are shown some of the works that have inspired many artists over the last 100 years.
